Your knowledge & qualifications:
- 10 years as a COST MANAGER with a general contractor or developer/client
- Civil Engineering studies (including Economic Engineering/Cost in Construction)
- Extensive experience in all technical and cost elements in all phases of large complex high value real estate and mixed use projects
- Advanced English knowledge
- MS Office (advanced level of Excel, Cost Management/Budgeting)
- Driver license B category
Outline Scope of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establishment of cost control, cost and budget estimating procedures with Regional Construction Directors.
- Establishment of “Entity name” budgeting and DIN classification procedures and adherence for all cost control documentation.
- Overseeing all cost and contractual administration aspects of the “Entity name” developments and reporting to the Regional and local Project Managers and Development Managers or Country Partners as required.
- Implementation of cost analysis of procurement for the budgeting and cost control of contractors, vendors, suppliers, third party consultants, design and construction teams for each project.
- Cost control and variation management and analysis for direct budget comparison of all projects as required and for subsequent tenant or scope changes to each project.
- Value engineering in conjunction with each project with the appropriate team members.
- Assist in and manage the procurement process established by Regional Construction Director including but not limited to, establishing bill of quantities, units of costs and measuring of same with the appropriate budget cost summaries and comparisons for all projects tendered.
- Providing cost estimates and cost plans for budget control for each of the various project types (office, hotel, residential, aqua parks, retail, industrial or other mixed use projects).
- Providing commercial and contractual support to the Project Managers and Regional Construction Directors for contracting, consulting and service agreements with third parties.
- Coordinate budgeting and programming for projects with Development team and leasing team to insure tendering and contracts adhere to procurement timeframes established with established procedures as directed by the Regional Construction Directors.
- All contract documentation has been reviewed by legal team prior to procurement, coordinate with Regional and local legal teams or third party consultants to ensure process is being adhered to.
- Other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities which may occur from time to time as required for the fulfillment of the position of Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager for Client.
