Senior Database Administrator

We are looking for a new colleague to be part of our IT Operations & Infrastructure team in charge of maintaining Enterprise platforms databases’ using Microsoft SQL Server Databases

Things you will work on:

• Provide support for Microsoft SQL Server database related issues - performance, security, locks, bugs, connectivity, auditing etc.;
• Perform (re)design of databases for new and existing applications to ensure maximum performance;
• Review raised Change Requests, provide technical support during CABs and do the implementation;
• Develop scripts to automate repetitive tasks;
• Review the environment and have initiatives to reduce failures, defects and improve performance;
• Create documentation for automated tasks, special procedures etc.;

• Monthly patching of existing database servers;

• Try out new tools and share your findings and best practices with the whole team.

Skills needed:

• Good MS SQL Server/ PostgreSQL and Transact-SQL (database design, SQL queries, procedures, triggers) skills;
• At least 4-5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL;
• Ability to understand and explain technical concepts to a variety of technical and non-technical audience;
