Senior Expert Applications Development

The job holder will drive and coordinate the development of software solutions following the Digital Excellence Petrom Upstream landscape and OMV Digital Excellence strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver complex multi-discipline technical specific tasks, according to defined service level agreements, for allocated software services without guidance and monitoring for daily activity and for project activities, respecting the principles and rules in place;
• Accountable and responsible for API design, development and implementation, for following Services-based Architecture and embedding best practices in developing end to end IT solutions;
• Accountable and responsible for in-house Azure developed and operated solutions, based on Azure resources;
• Complete well designed systems of high quality that make appropriate use of technology;
• Participate and lead in new technology investigation and make recommendations for new technology adoption;
• Lead technical projects on demand and act as mentor to junior staff;
• Effectively collaborate with cross functional and cross country departments;
• Accountable and responsible for continuous alignment with Digital Excellence and relevant stakeholders in Head Office;
• Accountable and responsible for active participation in globally defined Use Cases, in Data Liberation Chapter initiative and other data integration activities.

Requirements:

• Master Diploma (IT Management), additional education and training in IT field;
• More than 9 years relevant professional experience;
• Excellent skills using Azure in developing different solutions with focus on data flows and orchestration. Ability to develop and operate internally developed solutions based on Azure resources;
• Excellent understanding of APIs and its design and implementation, knowledge of what Services-based Architecture is and how it works. Ability to embed best practices in developing an end-solution;
• Experience in cloud computing technologies (SaaS / IaaS / PaaS),  JSON, XML, REST, NoSQL Database (MongoDB, Cassandra), Distributed System, RDBMS, MVC frameworks, Design Patterns, Javascript, JQuery, Python, Scrum/Agile development methodologies;
• Extensive knowledge of C# using Visual Studio, using MVC and Entity Framework;
• Experience in working in a development team with code version control systems and release management,
• Proven ability to test and debug your code and do code review inside the team, ability to scale the applications and data, to create monitoring and diagnostics pipelines, strong troubleshooting and support skills;
• Excellent English skills.
