Senior Expert Carbon Management

Responsibilities:

• Recommending, developing, managing and monitoring standards, processes, communications, trainings and systems for improvement of carbon and GHG management at OMV Group level along with the associated cross-divisional audit program and monitoring of improvement measures implementation
• Supports, monitors and improves company's group wide carbon and GHG reporting; constantly evaluates reporting performance process, ensuring efficiency, relevance and data quality
• Collaborates with OMV Group team in matters concerning the development of group wide policies, standards and strategies with regard to their area of expertise
• Develops, delivers, monitors and reports on carbon and GHG management training programs targeted at operational HSSE staff involved in carbon and GHG monitoring and reporting across OMV Group, driving capability building for all positions involved in this complex process
• Provides specialist input for revising the scope of works for company-wide tenders related to carbon management and GHG equipment, technologies and solutions, also supporting integration of GHG and carbon management aspects in engineering activities.

Requirements:

• University degree in technical engineering
• Relevant professional experience minimum 7 years
• Computer literate with solid knowledge of standard Office software
• Excellent command of English and Romanian ((written and spoken)
• Experienced in managing GHG and climate change issues; technical experience; knowledge of energy management; in-depth knowledge of national, European and international legislation regarding GHG; solid knowledge regarding air emissions pollutants in oil and gas industry; Environmental auditing; Deep knowledge of environmental management systems and ISand 50001 in particular;

• Soft skills: proven ability to work on complex issues without supervision, highly innovative, excellent analytical, presentation, interaction and communication skills, Ability to analyze problems and develop appropriate business solutions
