Senior Expert Data Modelling

The Job Holder is responsible for analysis and data management activities in order to define the specifications for building, changing and optimizing data models of the enterprise IT systems and for providing effective and efficient IT Application services within and towards Global Solutions and Downstream Business Division as part of the OMV Petrom group.

he Senior Expert Data Modelling is responsible to ensure within the organization the following:

• Partners with stakeholders, process specialists, and users to elicit and document business requirements; translates non-technical requirements into technical business requirements
• Partners with business departmental teams to define and document business requirements for new metrics and reports
• Conducts advanced data analytics and complex designs algorithmResponsible to develop the analytical context in order to reach the business objectives;
• Responsible to design experiments, test hypotheses and build models in order to derive OMV Downstream business insights;
• Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
• Responsible to raise flags where the data consistency or quality is at risk.  
• Responsible to recommend improvements to methods and algorithms that lead to findings including new information

equirements:

• Master’s degree or equivalent education along with advanced occupational experience in the related field.
• More than 7 years of practical experience in the IT applications management area & international experience
• More than 5 years of work experience in business intelligence report development
• Fluent in English language, capable of writing well in English and holding discussions and meetings with non-Romanian parties.
• Strong programming skills such as Hadoop MapReduce or other big data frameworks, Java and statistical modelling like SAS tableau or R
• Experience in working with tolls like: Power BI, Spotfire or Tableau for semantic-layer-based data discovery
• Strong experience in working with data science teams in refining and preparing data for data science and machine learning models and algorithms.
• Proficiency in the use of statistical packages
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting / predictive analytics, multivariate testing, and optimization algorithms.
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design and data segmentation techniques
