Senior Full Stack .NET Developer

Job description:

ViewPoint, our new client, is a small company based in Coventry, in the West Midlands region of the UK. Point of experience feedback hardware, software and service is the primary output of the business. We buy in Android tablets, currently Samsung, but design and have locally manufactured various stands to mount the tablets on. The software running on the device and the back end survey design and dashboard reporting software is all our IP and written in-house.

We’re looking for people who enjoy being hands-on with code, problem-solving and working with others to clarify requirements.
A good all-round full-stack knowledge is essential, whilst remaining flexible and desiring to learn new things. There is a lot to do for a small dynamic team, so new colleagues must manage themselves well, being self-driven and determined, whilst enjoying collaborative work with both the technical team and the wider business who may have little technical knowledge.

ViewPoint needs a dynamic Senior Full Stack .NET Developer to join the team and work in the Iasi office.
The right candidate will have the opportunity to help influence the technical direction of our new products and become part of a growing business.
In particular an individual who has a great grounding in Back End technology, whilst having recent practical experience of developing a Front End web based UI.

General skills and competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent education and related training
8+ years of professional development experience
Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
Demonstrated strong attention to detail
Excellent design, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Experience with source control tools
Experience of the full software development life cycle
Ability to work with deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Good verbal and written communication skills
A proven ability to pick up new technology quickly
Ability to liaise with business management and non-technical colleagues to understand requirements.

Required technical skills:

5+ years of experience in the Microsoft technology stack
C# and .NET framework (Comprehensive understanding with at least 4 years commercial experience)
ASP.NET MVC (Comprehensive understanding with at least 3 years commercial experience of web technologies on the .NET platform)
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and SOLID design principles
SQL Server or other relational DB (Comprehensive understanding with at least 4 years commercial experience)
Proven, recent experience of developing Front End web UI technologies, including HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery (At least 3 years commercial experience)
Familiar with Front End frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, etc.)
Windows Server, IIS

Desirable technical skills:

.NET Core
REST and Web API services
Entity Framework, Dapper or any other ORM
Cross-platform mobile development (Xamarin, Cordova, React Native, Flutter etc.)
VueJS, Vuetify
Azure Cloud or Azure DevOps experience.
