Job purpose
As Senior IT Consultant for Public Sector you'll contribute technically to the implementation of consulting and technology projects for International Organisations (European Commission, European Investment Bank, World Bank) and national Public Administration, delivering in cross functional teams.
An important part of your role will be to actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships.
Responsibilities
- Support the manager in the day-to-day execution of a client project while guiding and developing individual junior team members;
- Support in managing projects and deliver as agreed with the project manager and key project stakeholders;
- Prepare business proposals and presentations;
- Understand client issues and develop hypotheses of key problems - interview the client's employees, management team and other stakeholders;
- Facilitate and lead workshops with clients, for the purpose of analyzing and documenting business processes;
- Collect data and information from different sources (e.g. from desk research or from interviews with client representatives or from stakeholders);
- Act as a business analyst on projects to collect and understand client environment and requirements;Evaluate systems functionalities, define requirements, transforming specifications into cost-effective, technically correct solutions;
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of data and information collected;
- Draft and structure work products and deliverables;
- Present findings in clear and concise documentation including gap analysis, identification of risks, dependencies and recommendations for performance improvement;
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel;
- Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating team members on progress.

Essential Requirements
- University degree
- At least 3 years of professional experience as IT consultant
- Experience in working with business & IT service organizations/ departments;
- Experience with typical IT/architecture frameworks (e.g. ITIL / COBIT / TOGAF or similar)
- Experience in working in an agile environment;
- Experience working with strict deadlines and short time limited tasks;
- Good communication and problem-solving skills;
- Fluent in English.
Desirable Requirements
- University degree with Computer Science, Software Engineering or an equivalent
- Experience as IT consultant in Government and Public Sector projects;
- Experience in process discovery and modelling for digitalization (e.g. BPMN)
- Experience with technology & interoperability topics
- Experience related to enterprise architecture
