SENIOR / LEAD ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY:

Senior/ Lead Electrical Engineer shall provide technical leadership and guidance to all staff engaged on the project. The senior/lead is accountable for technical integrity of electrical activities, producing and maintaining deliverables (including but not limited to Drawings, Calculations, Datasheets, Technical specifications, Material Requisitions, Technical bid evaluations, Schedules, MTOs) in accordance with industry standards, codes and client specifications within the schedule and budget as set-out by the Engineering/ Project Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Implement technical solutions defined by Project Engineer
• Define and adapt the single line diagram of the system (SLD)
• Achieve electrical drawings, general arrangement (GA) and Internal Layout
• Define the content and layout of technical documents
• Ensuring the right quality of work delivered
• Monitoring the progress of the project and planning
• Accountable for the successful completion of assigned engineering tasks and preparation of engineering deliverables
• Interface with other internal engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil/structural, process, instrumentation, automation, architecture, etc.) to ensure a coordinated design and complete engineering deliverables
• Interface with Client and vendors to define project scope, resolve technical issues, and assist with preparation of procurement documents
• Participation in Client/contractor meetings, preparation of meeting minutes and action items lists
• Field trips to Client site as required to determine existing as-built conditions
• Size and select equipment, materials, etc
• Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals
• Check vendor drawings to ensure design accuracy and compliance with specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Electrical engineering from an accredited university or equivalent;
• Experience in similar position working for EPC Projects in Oil & Gas sector, especially in Electrical engineering activities;
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is a must.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office is a must.
• Familiarity with API, ASME and ANSI and European Standards and recommended practices to be adopted during FEED & EPC phases of oil/gas projects.
• Knowledge of hazardous area requirements and certifications related to instrument installation.
• INSEMEX and ANRE Certification

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 10 years of work experience in the Oil & Gas industry with at least 5 years in similar position.
