Role Overview
The Senior Learning & Development Manager will be responsible for all learning and development activity in our Romania sites, reporting directly to the Learning Excellence Director for TELUS International Europe. The role primarily focus will be executing the global learning excellence strategy, while taking into consideration the local specifics and current/future business requirements. The successful candidate will also have the chance to establish, shape and support a team of Learning & Development Specialists, bringing the Learning function as a whole to the next level of partnership with our internal clients, based on long-term strategic vision, mutual trust, meaningful relationships and excellent understanding of business operations.
Main responsibilities:
• Establish & maintain meaningful, collaborative relationships with stakeholders and leaders from the business to achieve success in executing the Global Learning Excellence Strategy within Romania
• Establish & maintain meaningful, collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues within the broader Global Learning Excellence organization
• Lead the Learning & Development team locally to support individual team member growth, development and performance through setting objectives and providing continuous coaching and feedback
• Lead the implementation of the LearningTI Roadmap in all Romania sites
• Identify & address local learning needs through effective learning interventions, specifically in the area of leadership development
• Report regularly to senior stakeholders on learning programs progress and strategic alignment with business objectives
• Report on pre-defined learning KPI’s
• Create high performing team environment
• Design, coordinate & facilitate targeted learning interventions
• Create, defend and deliver to annual learning budget, including external learning plan for the company
• Maintain effective marketing strategies on existing and future learning programs
• Maintain relationships with external training providers
• Ensure the effective use of the learning management system, external learning resources contracted by the company, and other tools and equipment used in providing learning opportunities
• Improve employee engagement scores, specifically in the area of career development & learning opportunities

Experience & Qualifications
• 4-6 years industry experience in Learning & Development
• 3-4 years previous people management experience
• Good understanding modern L&D practices/trends
• Deep understanding of the BPO industry
• Proven track of successful senior stakeholder management
• Experience with coaching desirable
• Passionate about learning, development & growth
