Senior .NET & SQL Server Developer

Ringhel is the leading Romanian niche software provider for power and gas markets in Romania. We have developed the suite of applications GeFEE that includes desktop and web platforms, covering the entire market activity flows.  Our platforms are used by 50% of the active electricity suppliers and 20% of gas suppliers on the local market. We are expanding in other countries and in order to easily localize and customize the platforms we will migrate and build products using the no-code technology.

We are looking for a new team member, an experienced MS SQL developer with high standards in terms of software quality and focused on results and finding solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
• Assist in the preparation of designs and technical and/or functional specifications
• Perform code reviews and work with teammates in accordance with company coding standards and best practices
• Create operational procedures and best practices for implementing as company coding standards and best practices
• Design database structures for new functionalities and redesign existing functionalities keeping in mind performance and best practices
• Optimize existing code and mechanisms
• Create new functionalities keeping in mind usability and performance
• Analysis of performance metrics, suggesting and implementing recommendations and improvements;
• Observe trends, be proactive about potential upcoming issues
• Creation of tools to improve monitoring and automation
• Optimize queries and design indexes
• Actively support the development team in tuning and rewriting application queries, as well as load-testing the application to identify and continually improve performance issues
• Engage in critical problem solving
• Participation in production and test deployments
• Implement tasks in accordance with schedule
• Continuously improve skills, adapt emerging technologies, and apply best practices

Requirements:

• MS SQL knowledge at senior level
• Cross-technology experience needed
• Database and query performance best practices
• Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements
• Capable of troubleshooting and solving database issues
• Advanced knowledge and hands on experience of key technical concepts, such as: logical and physical data modeling, performance tuning, code reviews process, data normalization processes
