Senior PHP developer

We are looking for a new colleague for our ATF (Automated Testing Framework) team. Their main goal is to improve the eMAG application testing process through automation, monitoring and early-intervention procedures. They developed a stand-alone automated testing platform where anyone can upload and run their tests on any application at any phase of the development process. They are also responsible for the tools used in the Continuous Delivery process(Jenkins, Sonar, Selenium grid, and other automation). Currently, they are working on a new application that will be used to centralize all the information and metrics from all the existing apps used in eMAG (Application node).

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance, reliable and maintainable code whether implementing architectural improvements;
• Design, implement and support multiple applications across various platforms;
• Stay in-tune with the latest technologies; proactively identify areas for improvement and propose viable solutions;
• Collaborate with other technical team members to design, implement, quickly troubleshoot and resolve any critical issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of overall development experience using web technologies;
• Extensive experience in design and development of web applications with PHP, Javascript, Rest API;
• Experience with databases like MySQL;
• Focused on code quality and high development standards (PHP Unit);
• Solid foundations in computer science fundamentals, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering best practices;
• Analytical thinking and strong initiative;
• Flexible, communicative, a real team player;
• Able to work on several simultaneous projects and to adapt to a fast-evolving environment;
• Frameworks: Symfony, Laravel, etc.

Will be a plus:

• Experience with RabbitMQ, Web Services, SonarQube, Jenkins, NoSQL, Docker and/or Kubernetes;
• A solid understanding of High Availability, Load Balancing, Performance Tuning, Security;
• Portfolio or GitHub profile.
