Senior Project Manager (determined - 1 year)

Purpose of the Role

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of all CAPEX projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare regular reports for upper management regarding status of a project.

Responsibilities & tasks

• Defines Project Management System, processes & guidelines for complete project life cycle and drives its implementation to maximize value/profit and effective execution.
• Monitors project execution performances and defines improvement measures for enhancing efficiency and effective controls.
• Coordinates preparation of project execution plans and strategies for swift delivery of projects.
• Ensures that projects are both designed and implemented to the highest environmental and health & safety standards.
• Steers projects through all development phases (from concept screening to commissioning), that include well engineering and construction, drilling operations, internal gate reviews, procurement procedures, the development of contracting strategies contracts.
• Planning, execution and preparation for operations by managing multi-disciplinary project teams and delivering the projects until final commissioning, within budget and schedule.
• Supports the procurement procedures in connection with the projects by producing and delivering scopes of work for the acquisition of related services and materials.
• Ensures effective change management and project controls consistent with the project priorities and objectives.
• Acts as key liaison for suppliers and subcontractors, coordinates meetings with suppliers and manages them and their subcontractors, as required by project needs.
• Identifies needs and allocates the appropriate resources to meet timely completion of specific project tasks.
• Provides specific leadership, advice, and guidance, across a range of project areas such as sub-surface and surface disciplines;
• Acts as the key liaison across all functional areas and as single point of accountability for all aspects of a project.
• Supports project initiatives, including identifying and analyzing preliminary business needs, CAPEX budget considerations, time and resource estimates, defining the project scope and objectives, and getting business cases prepared.

 Requirements, education & experience

• Extensive knowledge of oil industry standards and best practices in production/technology/ engineering/drilling and of relevant legislative regulations.
• University degree in the field of oil and gas engineering or similar.
• Minimum 10 years experience in the oil / oil and gas industry in the area of project management
• Minimum 5 years experience as Senior Project Manager with extensive knowledge in project management, contract and risk management and in-depth knowledge of applicable tools & techniques.
• Certification in the area of Project management from any reputable institute.
• Extensive experience in the management of production activities and operations (production operations, technologies and production maintenance; drilling activities; permits & authorizations; interaction with authorities, etc.).
• Knowledge of planning and economics, controlling, finance management, accounting (. Opex, Capex).
• Distinctive strategic thinking and global understanding from strategy to operational management.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Advanced computer skills (. MS Office package, other project management related computer tools, etc.).
• Proficiency of English.
