Your Role
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst with a background in Customer Service to function as a content and software tester across multiple divisions within the OPIS family, with an initial focus on our Spot Product and Support groups. You will play an integral role in the development and deployment of software in a fast-pace environment. You will embrace many different roles, offering input on development impact on our existing internal environment as well as anticipating impact on customer files and experience. You will seek opportunities to increase team efficiency by building automated software tests and working with our development team to integrate these into our development processes. This role has the potential grow into a leadership role as our Quality Assurance group adds automated testing to its existing skillset.
Your Responsibilities

Test software and content to ensure changes and additions meet business expectations without negatively affecting the existing reports and workflows

Be responsible for performing manual tests as well as developing test plans and automated tests from the ground up to improve the overall efficiency of the Quality Assurance team

Work closely with several project teams as well as business representatives, participating in agile/scrum ceremonies and production deploys to ensure smooth development throughout the project lifecycle

Design and automate regression tests for deployment verification and auditing purposes

Identify and track recurring issues and design automated testing to prevent future recurrence
Your Team
You will be working in the OPIS Team, part of IHS Markit, in Bucharest. OPIS is one of the world's most comprehensive sources for petroleum pricing and news information. OPIS provides real-time and historical spot, wholesale/rack and retail fuel prices for the refined products, renewable fuels, and natural gas and gas liquids (LPG) industries. At its core, OPIS uses a set of complex IT systems and tools, handling huge amounts of data in a reliable way, and providing customers with business applications to use this data as efficient as possible.
Your Expertise
-
A Bachelor’s Degree
-
3-5 years professional experience in either IT field or customer service, or combined
-
2 years professional experience in Quality Engineering working with web applications
-
General knowledge in the area of web applications development (working with various browsers, HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
-
Experience with any of the following: Selenium, VisualStudio, Powershell and programming languages such as C#, Java or Python
-
Ability to navigate a SQL database
-
Fluency in all MS Office applications, with Excel expertise a priority
-
Ability to troubleshoot complex technology and data related issues
-
Exceptional organizational skills and a detail-oriented working methodology
-
Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
-
Ability to think abstract, outside of the box – to find bugs quickly, that are not the norm
-
Experience working in an Agile software development organization

Experience supporting development and product teams
-
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of an organization

Must speak and write in English fluently
It's a bonus if your also have:

Experience working with Agile/SCRUM teams

API testing - you have an understanding of RESTful design / best practices. Hands on experience testing APIs and test tools (SoapUI/POSTMAN)

Experience with load / stress / performance testing and tools

Experience with Azure DevOps (or other similar issue/bug tracking systems)
