Senior Software Automation Engineer

As a Senior Software Automation Engineer you have a key role in creating revolutionary, impactful software and services that our customers love. Our Automation Engineers are a key component in our ability to provide instruments and software that enable our customers to undertake drug testing, neonatal screening, conducting food safety tests and many more applications. Our instruments have been critical in helping our customers develop Covid tests and vaccines.

Thorough working test automation and test tools experience is essential for this role.

As a Senior Software Automation Engineer you will:

• Define and execute test strategies and test plans for different programs by applying the appropriate testing approaches 
• Design/evolve/promote good practices in the Jenkins CI framework and helps teams across different projects to adopt and use it
• Investigate new tools, technologies and practices to use in testing and help teams transitioning or adopting them
• Improve the existing automation testing frameworks and internal testing tools (like QualityTools, WTFM, TraceTool)
• Design and develop tools needed in testing activities
• Promote the Executable Specifications practice and helps teams adopting it
• Design, develop, execute, deploy, maintain software tests (design acceptance tests using Gherkin format, get familiar with the Visual Studio testing environment, Build up the testing environment etc.
• Look for ways to improve existing products, showing constant interest in product utilization
• Participates in new candidates interviews and assists management in the hiring decisions.

What experience will you ideally have to be a successful Automation Engineer?

• You have a University degree (preferably in a science related subject or in engineering).
• You have Software Programming (Object Oriented) and Automated Testing experience and a basic experience in applying technical standards.
• Experience with Automated Tests related tools - knowledge on some of SpecFlow, Bamboo, Jenkins, Docker, AWS are an advantage.
• You are using efficiently your communication, teamwork, analysis and decision making skills and you are familiar with Agile methodologies.
• You are fluent in English - speaking, reading, writing - Advanced Level.
• You care about software; you have a passion for what you do which you can clearly convey by your actions and experiences. You have an eye for software quality and can talk eloquently on a range of topics due to your experiences and also from reading and experimentation.
