Senior System Engineer

We are looking for a System Engineer to help grow our US eCommerce platforms. You will be part of a team responsible for the design, deployment and support of a high performance, highly available Internet-based services infrastructure.

Role and Responsibilities

- Manage and document system infrastructure and configurations
- Propose, implement and integrate infrastructure projects (as part of the systems engineering team or in collaboration with development teams)
- Work closely with development and QA to troubleshoot and solve problems
- Disaster recovery support (including implementation and deployment of such solutions)
- Availability for operational on-call support as part of a 24/7 team located both in the US and Romania

Skills and Requirements

- Very good experience with Linux - including deployment and administration of large-scale installations
- Good MySQL administration experience - including performance tuning and optimization
- Good experience with LAMP/LEMP or Java-based application platforms
- Experience with network management, configuration and monitoring
- Strong coordination, organisation and communication abilities

Optional/Pluses

- Experience with configuration management tools
- Experience with NoSQL systems
- Knowledge of version-control systems
- Experience with Windows systems
- Experience with cloud platforms
