For one of our clients, one of the most important accounting companies locally and internationally we are recruiting:
Senior Tax Manager – reporting directly to Partner
Job Role
To lead and develop a team of professionals who will be in charge of the following tasks:
- To provide Tax Consultancy to all clients/partners;
- To manage all Tax-Related Issues of the BPO;
- To support the services lines (two companies of the group) in all fiscal related matters that may come up during assignments.
Main Responsibilities:
Tax Consultancy
- The first point of contact with clients requiring tax consultancy;
- Analyses the client requirements and allocates the team to handle the specific project;
- Follows the progress of the project and signs-off on all tax consultancy reports;
2. Business Development
- Develops with the assistance of the Tax Partner and the Marketing Department new business offerings;
- Follows up leads that may be initiated by himself or other means;
- Prepares offers for new clients;
3. BPO
- Allocates teams to review fiscal issues for a number of clients;
- Monitors the progress of the reviews;
- Ensures that Annual Financial Statements are checked for any fiscal implications.;
4. Assurance
- Allocates teams to review fiscal issues for a number of audits and other assignments;
- Monitors the progress of the reviews and gets personally involved in cases of complex fiscal issues;
- Ensures, under the supervision of the Audit Partner, that Audit and other reports are checked for any fiscal implications;
5. Advisory
- Allocates teams to review fiscal issues for a number of assignments;
- Monitors the progress of the reviews and gets personally involved in cases of complex fiscal issues;
- Ensures, under the supervision of the Partner in charge, that all reports are checked for any fiscal implications.
6. Team Development
- Ensures that the Tax team is kept abreast of all fiscal laws and other developments;
- Develops together with HR training sessions ensuring the development of the team.
Requirements:
- Post Graduate Studies, in Accounting and Bookkeeping Information Systems, Audit, Finance, Insurance, Banks, Business Management or other relevant areas;
- Romanian Chartered Accountant or equivalent foreign qualification;
- Romanian Chartered Fiscal Consultant;
- 10 years’ experience in Fiscal area, with at least 3 in consulting management position;
- Proven experience in handling all types of fiscal areas (Corporate Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax, Transfer Pricing, Personal Income tax, International Tax;
- 3 years of People Management experience;
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Fluent in English – Knowledge of French will be considered an advantage;
- People management skills;
- Strong business acumen;
- Client service and liaison skills;
- Flexibility in relation to traveling in the country and abroad;
- Ability to operate successfully under pressure;
- Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients at all levels;
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering client solutions.
