Site Reliability Engineer [IOT]

In this environment you’ll take the lead on the operational readiness aspects and innovation for an Internet of Things (IoT) project.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deploy, manage, and support our environments, own and lead safe migrations with minimal downtime assuring application health and resiliency;
• Stay up to date on best practices and cutting-edge technology developments, raising the technical IQ of the team;
• Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems and ensure permanent closure of incidents;
• Filling the need and bridging the gap between the application developers and cloud operations;
• Enhance the observability of our systems to reduce time to answer why an issue happened;
• Use your passion for technology to ensure our platform operates flawlessly 24x7;

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Good level of experience with infrastructure as code and continuous integration, continuous delivery, code quality Git, Jenkins, GitLab, Artifactory, Chef/Ansible/Puppet, Terraform, Packer;
• Experience with deploying, scaling and maintaining an application in a cloud environment like (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker; OpenStack, AWS, Azure, Google);
• Experience using and administrating log/event management tools and monitoring systems (EFK/ELK Stack; Prometheus, Centreon, Nagios, Grafana);
• Exposure to database design and working knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, MariaDB) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Memcached, Redis);
• Exposure to load balancers/proxies/reverse proxies design and working knowledge (HAPRoxy, Nginx, Envoy)
