The Challenge

You will join at a very interesting moment since we are completely rebuilding our detection stack in the Avira products. Instead of having many separate products installed, in the future, we will offer a well-integrated solution with a unique user experience.

You will work closely together with other experienced developers and field experts in the Windows network area, implement functionality using the latest methodologies, write automated tests, analyze customer data and run experiments.

The Team

We are an experienced team of developers with expertise in kernel-mode development, network stack protection and overall low-level Windows knowledge. We work closely with Microsoft to stay current with the latest Windows developments. The team has vast experience in building antimalware and network protection solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to design and implement software solutions.

• Transform software specifications into high quality code.

• Build the necessary tools to monitor, test, and integrate the software solutions to higher level projects.

• Keep current with the latest Microsoft requirements for antimalware apps.

Requirements

• C/C++ programming languages

• Familiarity with Windows networking concepts. Experience with networking/Winsock software development

• Deep understanding of Windows internals

• Deep understanding of multi-threaded, parallel programming

• An analytical mindset, out-of-the box thinking.

Nice to have

• Experience developing Windows WFP callout drivers

• Experience with Windows Filtering Platform
