The Software Development manager is responsible for end-to-end software development and delivery. He/ she is expected to help evolve and define the product features working along-side the various product owners, in the area of enterprise software development and is abreast with related technologies. He/ she is responsible for managing and coordinating resources and processes in order to make quality & timely deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage and prepare best software development team;
- Guide, coach and mentor software development engineers;
- Provide project management and technical leadership for every aspect of software;
- Prepare life-cycle for different projects inclusive of research, development, design, evaluation, testing along with delivery to product management;
- Lead efforts to develop a technical road-map of all projects based on architects’ designs;
- Establish and stimulate software development standards and processes along with best practices for delivery of scalable and high-quality software;
- Perform closely with Engineers, Developers and Product Management throughout organization to influence product development assisting or improving products;
- Learn and display as how products would add value to respective business.
- Ensure top quality design reviews attaining business goals;
- Supervise resource allocation to assure attainment of apt business and personnel development goals;
- Evaluate projects, develop and update schedules plus supervise project status;
- Collaborate effectively with all team members as well as hold regular team meetings.
Requirements:
- BS or MS in Computer Science/ Engineering, or equivalent industry experience;
- Excellent knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), tools and frameworks;
- Strong technical vision and hands on experience in software development and test automation;
- People manager experience already leading a team;
- Previous experience as a Product Owner, Team Leader, Project Manager, Scrum Master;
- Ability to manage priorities and conflicting timelines and work in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines;
- Be responsible for the carrier progression and hiring processes for the development teams;
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
- Good time-management skills;
- Proven track record in management of entire engineering development life-cycle and delivery of large complex engineering solutions;
- Leadership abilities;
- High-level of initiative.
