We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer in Test (Java) with a strong background in an IT-related discipline. You will be a key member of an agile team and will be working on Axway’s reference solution for the AMPLIFY Managed File Transfer market.

Project description:

AMPLIFY Managed File Transfer is the reference solution offered by Axway in the area of secure file transfers for customers with high data traffic, in areas such as banking (BNP Paribas, ARKEA, Euro-Information), pharmaceuticals (Sanofi) or state-owned companies (Poste Italiane). The solution consists of 5 Axway products, developed in several Axway locations. The AMFT team ensures that all products maintain the vision of the solution, the stability and the end-to-end functionality of all products, by constantly demonstrating interoperability.

All these are possible due to a team composed of 3 Test Analysts, which take the use-case scenarios from customers and turn them into functional and non-functional requirements at the solution level,

3 Software Engineers in Test that handle the automation of these requirements in an environment that reflects the customer environment as realistic as possible. Globally, the team contains 2 more developers in Sofia, and 2 more developers in Paris. The team also collaborates with Product Owners, Architects and Tech writers from Sofia and Paris.

A shortlist of technologies used: Java SE8, Javascript, Docker, VMWare vSphere, Jenkins, Linux (CentOS and RedHat), Bash, MySQL and Windows Server.

Responsibilities:

Currently, we are looking for a new colleague to join us as a Software Engineer in Test. This role involves writing code, most of the time in Java/Javascript, to ensure that vision and reality are always aligned. We would appreciate a person with great attention to detail, for whom a bug is not just something reported and then forgotten, but an urgent problem that must be solved immediately. You will have a great openness to develop your DevOps skills, and also you will be able to leave your mark on the project from the first days.

• Contribute to the strategic decisions on the new features and the technical choices;
• Imagine, design and develop new features from A to Z as a team;
• Prototype solutions when needed;
• Collaborate on creating and evaluating User Stories;
• Design and develop automated tests;
• Implement new features and updates on our internally developed testing framework;
• DevOps: Maintain the project infrastructure;
• Improve and sharpen the tools we use every day to develop and test;
• Support quality engineers on running successful testing campaigns;
• Collaborate and synchronize with colleagues from other product teams.

Qualifications:

• Good command of programming languages: Java, Javascript;
• Experience with end-to-end CI and CD pipelines: Jenkins, Linux, Maven;
• Experience with virtualization techniques (VMWare, Docker);
• Good understanding of REST APIs;
• Good mood and a strong personality;
• Attention to details;
• Passion to design elegant solutions to complex problems;
• Ability to work in a distributed team and to interact efficiently with other people.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of SDLC and QA principles;
• Prior experience with front-end technologies;
• SQL databases (Oracle Database and MySQL);
• Python.
