Software QA Analyst - Automation Engineer (SaaS)

We are looking for a Software Quality Engineer with proven experience in testing Java applications in a SaaS oriented environment. Your primary focus will be to define and execute the test strategy of Wolters Kluwer’s next-generation SaaS offering for our new regulatory software product line.

You will be engaging with our development teams consisting out of an ideal mix of in-depth functional and technical experts. Expect a setting where Agile/SCRUM is the prevailing software development methodology with a high focus on technical expertise, communication and team dynamic.

ith this new unified regulatory platform we will be targeting our worldwide customer base which consists predominantly out of finance and banking institutions.

Responsibilities:

• Define the test strategy for the roll-out of our SaaS software platform
• Actively create user scenarios for automated testing
• Execute functional and non-functional tests
• Setup testing environments both on premises and cloud
• Track and report issues in a well-documented format
• Manage the complete testing process including reporting.
• Test applications with a creative and technical mindset, to overcome the additional complexity of a cloud deployment including technical features such as scaling and resilience
• Leverage the functionality and capabilities provided by the cloud platform and focus on delivering business value to our customers
• Ensure quality of the solution according to company standards and techniques

Qualifications and Skill Set:

• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science
• Relevant knowledge and experience with Java
• Testing experience in SaaS products and cloud platforms in general
• Experience with SQL and databases (MS SQL Server or Oracle)
• Knowledge of Subversion, Jira, Confluence, TeamCity
• Experience in agile/SCRUM environment
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal
• Experience with cloud performance and security testing.
