Job Description for a full time employment in Bucharest, IT Division

SUMMARY
The solution architect’s job focuses on solution-level decisions and analysis of their impact on the overall business goals and outcomes. Just like the architect in the construction industry creating a general blueprint of a future building, a person at this position must have a profound knowledge of available technologies to suggest the best solution according to the incoming requirements and existing environment. So, we can say that the product of a solution architect’s job is the set of technological solutions and the strategy of their implementation.
After developing a strategic technical vision of the product, the solution architect is involved in estimating the budget and presenting it to the stakeholders. Once everything is agreed upon, he or she monitors the process of development and keeps stakeholders informed about the progress.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Analyze current technologies used within the company and determine ways to improve
• Analyze the business requirements associated with a project
• Create the technical solution to fit the purpose for any given project, in line with the business and technical expectations.
• Responsible for choosing the best technical solution for the projects
• Drive and implement technical architecture standards
• Understand the technologies inside the bank, reuse them to create solutions, and investigate other technologies that may become part of the technological or solution roadmap
• Define the data architecture of the solution
• Business analystDefine the hardware infrastructure required for the solution, in line with the expected application performance and business uptime/SLA
• Define the data flow inside the solution as well as the integration flows with the connected systems
• Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates
• Work closely with Information Technology professionals within the company to ensure hardware is available for projects and working properly
• Propose and establish framework for necessary contributions from various departments
• Support the project/initiative manager for all possible project challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources and scope
• Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor progress of initiatives
• Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions
• Work with the business and system analysts in order to ensure all the business and solution constraints are identified and solved
• Define clear goals for technical aspects of a project and manage their proper execution, by reviewing the technical implementation.
• Participating in technology selection
• Controlling solution development
• Supporting project management

Qualifications:
• Solution architecture experience and leadership skills are essential
• Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure
• Working experience as a developer or system analyst.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred
• Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
• Experience in solution or software engineering and design architecture
• Positive outlook in meeting challenges and working to a high level
• Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes
• Professional experience working with and analyzing computer hardware and software
• Extensive knowledge and experience working with operating systems
To provide management and engineering teams with technical advice, a solution architect must have a technical background with at least five years of work experience in one or more IT areas including but not limited to:
• IT architecture, infrastructure, and cloud development
• Engineering and software architecture design
• Business analysis
• DevOps
