Responsibilities
As a Solution Architect, you will:

• Identify business requirements and requirements of the stakeholders on the project and design complete solutions based on them
• Envision and describe the solutions’ architectures and each of their individual components at a high level, while also choosing the technologies to be used and the way these components will interact
• Evaluate and decide which framework, platform, or tech-stack can be used to create a solution while balancing the risk in using third-party solutions, addressing architectural concerns and aligning with business strategy
• Review current solutions’ architectures and suggest improvements
• Interact with clients, product managers, and developers in order to envision, and prototype models and designs, while also meeting potential customers
• Support the project manager during the estimation process, perform impact analysis and drive accurate development estimates
• Foresee scalability, maintainability and security  issues for the provided solutions and integrate mitigation plans early in the design
• Know how the products will look, what their components will be and how they will interact with each other
• Synchronize with development teams leads and adjust development priorities to maximize delivered functionality while maintaining quality, scalability, security and maintainability
• Mentor development teams into understanding high level concepts, the mechanics of the solutions, while also disseminating an overview of current business and technical strategies
• Synchronize with other architects on updating a unified set of development standards and ensure they are adopted and implemented by the technical teams while implementing the solutions

Requirements
As a Solution Architect, you would need to prove experience and understanding of:

• Software frameworks and paradigms over various programming languages
• Realtime distributed processing solutions using threading, inter process communication and  management or asynchronous processing
• Queueing and message brokering with benefits and tradeoffs
• Highly available databases, document stores and key-value engines, structured or unstructured data, scalability/availability concepts and strategies  with their advantages and tradeoffs
• Multi-layered caching and caching strategies
• Monoliths, service  oriented architectures, microservices or serverless and when to choose one over the others
• Security models and strategies
• Networking concepts and cloud networking strategies
• Containerization, virtualization, and serverless

Nice to have
As a Solution Architect you may need to demonstrate

• People and process skills
• Technical as well as business language proficiency
• Java programming background and also the delivery of production ready solutions written in any of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript (for ), Go or PHP
• Experience coordinating mobile or single page applications projects providing API contracts and implementation.
