Responsibilities:
The job holder will ensure proper appliance of rules and regulations stated by Fiscal Code, Methodological Norms for applying the Fiscal Code, Fiscal Procedures Codes and related normative acts issued for its application, Romanian Accounting Standards, IFRS, Company law, OECD rules, Double Tax Treaties and relevant Petrom group guidelines. The scope of duties for Job Holder include:
- Ensures the observance of the fiscal and accounting law for a correct and timely computation, declaration and payment of current profit tax for group companies and other permanent establishments belonging to OMV group companies set up in Romania, for which the Specialist responsible
- Correct and timely computation of deferred tax;
- Ensures correct computation of dividend tax for all types of shareholders (residents and non-residents) to be declared and paid to state budget;
- Ensures support for correct assessment of withholding tax (‘WHT’) for payments performed to non-resident entities who derive income from Romania (analysis of external invoices and contracts involving a non-resident counterparty) according to Romanian fiscal legislation, OECD rules related to Double tax treaties and relevant group guidelines
- Monitors legislative modifications related to profit tax, non-resident withholding tax, dividend tax, Fiscal procedure code, Company Law and accounting regulations (Romanian Accounting Standards and IFRS) and take all necessary actions for updating internal regulations/SAP tax reports or tax fields which relates to profit tax, dividend tax and non-resident WHT area and ensure the implementation of such law changes;
- Provides colleagues and direct superior support in evaluating and setting priorities and adapting planning;
- Defines, updates and applies standards and regulations/work instructions/procedures/ Standards/Directives on aspects regarding profit tax, dividend tax and non-resident WHT matters based on tax/accounting law changes and due to modification made to existing business processes/business requirements;
- Provides tax support for special projects (. mergers, spin-off, take-overs of new group companies for providing tax services);
- Responsible for maintaining good relationships with fiscal authorities.
Requirements:
- University graduate level or equivalent education along with large occupational experience in the related field;
- Nonacademic education / background in the field and profound occupational experience;
- Relevant professional experience more than 5 years (minimum 2-3 years of practical experience in the fiscal area; minimum 2 years of experience in accounting);
- Good command of English (written and spoken);
- Good knowledge and skills of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Very good knowledge and application of SAP transactions used in own activity and of specific tax applications and transactions;
