Sr. Consultant - Integrated Health Solutions

Main Purpose of Job

As senior consultant you coordinate all consultancy delivery activities within (1-2) clients and/or lead challenging stand-alone consultancy engagements. For this role, you will be working in collaboration with our Neurovascular (NV) and country teams, along IHS community, on the development, optimization and enhancement of clinical pathways related to stroke care.  You manage and drive full end-to-end transformation programs, operational excellence and pathway optimization projects.  
You are also the linking pin between IHS colleagues and IHS consultancy for the clients you serve. As part of your role you contribute to the further development of our consulting service offerings and knowledge transfer of the work and impact created to our teams within Medtronic.

A Day in the Life 

· Partner with strategic Hospital accounts to drive complex transformational change, implement innovative growth strategies, streamline patient-focused care pathways and optimize operations
· Assess patient pathway at hospital/regional/country level, identify bottle neck, propose action plan and follow on a weekly basis the deployment according to the plan (support deployment of digital solution, training in hospitals, simulation, …)
· Set targets, metrics, and achieve targets in defined territory in order to provide impact measures and ROI , work closely with various teams
· Execute action plan designed to meet shared business objectives
· Influence key stakeholders by developing well-articulated situation analysis and business case for change
· Identify, frame and prioritize initiatives to capture value, and establish road-map and develop actionable plans / project portfolios for immediate improvement and costs savings
· Manage full end-to-end projects / programs and performing day to day coaching and mentoring activities to the service delivery team
· Periodically prepare portfolio reviews of the partnership program with steering com (IHS + customer + MDT teams) to track status, progress and measure economic value and customer satisfaction)
· Drive implementation, coach and develop local project or staff resources
· Capture learning and best-practices and continuously enrich Medtronic consulting toolbox
· Identify and build new services and solutions that enable clients to improve outcomes and reduce costs of delivering care

Must Haves 

· 5-7+ years as consultant from a top tier consulting firm or high-end healthcare consulting firm (at least senior consultant / manager)
· Experience working in clinical settings and with clinical specialists (doctors, nurses, etc)
· Extensive experience in the healthcare environment and in dealing with hospitals’ C-suite/Sr. Management/stakeholders
· Strong and demonstrable program management skills: planning & coordinating, communicating & influencing, relationship building, achieving milestones, resolving issues and managing risks
· Strong people management / coaching and mentoring skills to manage and develop talented teams
· Demonstrated ability to operate from idea generation, strategy development through detailed implementation and results delivery
· Experience of how to work and communicate in international environments preferably in Matrix
· Master’s degree in relevant functional area
· Excellent in English and Romanian


Nice to Haves

· Degree in Medicine, Life-science, Engineering, Biology, Nurse, Pharmacist 
· Experience in the pharmacologic/ medical devices industry and Knowledge of the competitive marketplace 

Physical Requirements

· Willingness to travel within region and within Romania and Eastern Europe (up to 65%)
· Availability to spend time on the field
· Full driving license
