Storage Administrator

We are a mature team currently having 7 Network Engineers working in a virtual team distributed between Bucharest, Romania and Dussedldorf, Germany. We are supporting approximately 800 firewall clusters globally which encompass datacenter grade, headoffice and branch firewalls. The roles within the team are spread in order to efficiently cover all of the daily topics such as Standard Appliances and VSX, Datacenter Architecture (Scalable Platforms), Store Firewalls Site-to-site VPN, Remote Access VPN, Automation.

Tasks

• Conception and operation of IP Storage systems like fileserver and object storage.
• Troubleshooting, Second level Support for Storage Systems with focus on unstructured data.
• Planning and implementation of technology changes including the associated migration 
• Further development of our Storage accounting tool
• Monitoring of Storage Environments
• Project management in an international environment 
• Participation in 24/7 OnCall support 
• Evaluation of new Storage technologies, decision support for local installations

Skills

• Knowledge in administration of unstructured data storage systems, focus: Dell EMC ESC and Isilon
• Experience in fileserver administration
• Knowledge in Administration of Grafana, Influx DB, Telegraf
• Good Development know-how (Python, Java Script) 
• Basic knowhow for SAN and Blockstorage
• Language: English, German (beneficial)
