BOA is an international corporate group, headquartered in Stutensee, Germany and one of the top players for engineering, manufacturing and distribution of flexible metal decoupling and damping components, pipe and hose systems as well as expansion joints and accumulators for Automotive and Industrial Applications.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a new member to join us.

Your tasks:

We are looking for candidates able to fulfil the following major tasks:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies based on long-term objectives, including annual plans reflecting year-over-year cost reductions and quality enhancements
• Identifies, selects, evaluates, and occasionally audits suppliers for direct materials
• Negotiates, creates, updates contracts with the direct materials suppliers (as well as with the suppliers for tooling related to these materials)
• Works on continuous improvement savings by signing long-term contracts to lock-in pricing or secure discounts
• Maintains and updates the ERP data (creates and updates scheduling agreements / places purchase orders / prices)
• Analyses the raw material demands and sends the orders to suppliers
• Prepares the weekly import plan; is responsible for sending the collection advises to forwarders and follows up on the timely delivery
• Supervises the customs activities
• Offers support to and collaborates with other departments during the request for quotation process from potential customers (pre-series and serial projects)
• Takes part in the budgeting and forecasting processes
• Is responsible for the annual tender for the local and global commodities under its responsibility
• Is able to prepare and present to stake holders various financial analyses / comparisons or other ad-hoc reports regarding direct materials, as needed
• Participates, together with the local Logistics Manager, in the process of introducing and approving a new carrier, as well as in the negotiations / tenders, as needed 

Your qualification:

In order to be a successful candidate for this position, your competencies and experience should be: 

• Bachelor in Economics or any other domain
• Ability to work autonomously to manage and improve raw materials sourcing
• Ability to effectively communicate both internally with key stake holders but also externally with both suppliers and customers, to develop a relationship with these parties
• Engineering and / or Programme Management understanding
• Experience in SAP (especially MM and PP module), proficiency in use of MS office tools
• Strong negotiation skills, strategic thinking, proactive
• Advanced verbal and written English, German is a great advantage
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive field
