Stress Engineer

Tasks & accountabilities

• Development and calculation of primary and secondary structure (CFRP and metal)
• Independent definition and pre-sizing of preliminary structural parts
• Creation and check of stress reports and calculations
• Checking and releasing of drawings (from stress point of view)
• Harmonization with design and manufacturing
• Definition and support of tests (. prototypes)
• Planning and managing of work packages, technical agreements with customers
• Managing Engineering Suppliers (planning, technical agreements)
• Execution of small improvement projects within the frame of principal tasks
• Supporting manufacturing with concessions
• Supporting with change evaluations (MOD process)

Required skills

• Good knowledge in pre-sizing and justification of composite and metallic structures in context of aircraft development
• Experience in leading of projects

Technical knowledge / IT Tools

• Knowledge of Catia V5
• FE Tools (Patran / Nastran, Hyperworks)
• MS-Office
• Analytical aircraft stress methods (HSB, Niu, ESDU, etc.)

• ISAMI (desirable)
