Student Application Advisor

Studyportals is the biggest educational search platform in the world - and we are looking to expand our team in Bucharest! Who you are:

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the journey one must go through to study abroad. This person will have an analytical mind and always be up for new challenges when it comes to building something new. You will be growing as part of an experimental team where you will have the chance to optimise and actively contribute to improving our product. If you are also an excellent communicator, open-minded, flexible, patient, goal oriented and you’d have the time of your life working within a diverse and highly cross-functional team – then you’re just the right person.

Responsibilities:

As a Student Application Advisor, your primary focus will be guiding and supporting international students through the process of their application for one of our university partners abroad. That can include but is not limited to answering their questions, clarifying possible doubts with regards to the application process, checking and compiling the required documentation and processing student’s applications. You will be part of a growing team, meaning that you’ll have lots of personal growth opportunities yourself. We aim high, so should you!

Requirements:

• Desire to improve the application process for students by offering great customer service, soft sales and up-to-date information.
• International experience either as an applicant or a student to a university abroad.
• Passionate about making Higher Education transparent and accessible worldwide.
• Passionate about helping others and take responsibility and initiative.
• Excellent research skills and capable of understanding and working with multi-disciplinary fields.
• Quick to learn new systems.
• Great time-management skills to ensure that all incoming student communication is effectively dealt with and answered within well-established deadlines. You will use both e-mail, social media and phone calls to increase engagement.
• Excellent communication skills; fluent verbal and written English is a must.
• Strong customer relationship skills and/or ability to empathise with a diverse range of people.
• Minimum knowledge of/or willingness to learn e-mail marketing.
• An intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office package and Google Docs.
• Ambition to meet and exceed KPI targets.
• Good stress management skills, especially during peak periods.
• Able to quickly adapt to change in information and procedures on a weekly/monthly basis.
