Supplier Quality Engineer (SQA TtM)

YOUR TASKS

• Ensuring the quality of complex purchased parts by applying Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methods along the Product Development Process;
• Monitoring the activities of suppliers in the Product Development Process with the help of APQP methodology; Accomplishing the APQP activities together with the supplier. Evaluation of above mentioned activities relative to completeness, content and compliance with deadlines; In case of deviations the SQA-TtM is responsible to initiate and monitor measures; Reporting the status of the purchased parts;
• Coordinating the collaboration for APQP-relevant issues in the project team and at the suppliers;
• Involvement and use of the Hella SQA- and Specialist Network to support the supplier in the project (. critical parts, critical processes) in case of critical deviations;
• Escalation to management level in case of relevant quality risks which cannot be resolved by the supplier or by the project team;
• Agreement and definition of reference samples with the suppliers in consultation with internal customers;
• Evaluating and releasing the initial sample inspection report (ISIR, EMPB, PSW) from the supplier;
• Preparing of the incoming inspection plan;
• Conducting the necessary audits, process acceptances and Full Run Tests;
• Coordinating all quality-relevant activities . Risk Assessment to prepare the sourcing. Checking whether the manufacturing feasibility study is available and whether supplier locations and processes are released;
• Estimating costs, booking the APQP expenditure to the development projects.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant experience;
• Strong skills both written and verbal in English;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Automotive Industry and 1 year experience in a similar position;
• University degree in the Technical field;
• Knowledge of German would be an advantage;
• Good knowledge in Core Tools;
• Proactive and willing to communicate and collaborate well with your colleagues from all levels of organization;
• Confident in making decisions and problem solving oriented;
• Flexible to work with changes and to handle multiple disciplines;
• Willing to travel to suppliers for audits;
• SAP knowledge is a plus.
