System Engineering Expert (Build)

Role purpose:

To provide, build and configure technology IT infrastructure services for various customers.

To optimize the global Vodafone Infrastructure build environment and deliver requested deliverables of high quality within given OLA times.

Execute infrastructure build activities for European Vodafone markets and group functions.

Configure and implement the network interfaces assuring connectivity between the targets

• Operating the automation of infrastructure services to ensure a simple and competitive way to build Infrastructure assets
• Build and deliver complex Infrastructure environments according to requirements
• Identify & Discuss points of improvement
• Provide clarifications on available products/solutions, build standards and status of running projects
• Discuss Build requirements with other GDC Teams and propose solutions for overall delivery based on new services, products, environments available
• Support and control task execution of ext./int. support functions
• Support proof of concepts and operational readiness assessments.
• Prepare and present results to mgmt.
• Execute and support proof of concepts and operational readiness assessments. '
• Use deep technical expertise to suggest and implement new deployment methodologies.
• Implement corrections detected during QA on any identified defects
• Analysis and troubleshooting of automation issues

With these skills you are a great candidate:

• Proven knowledge in OS areas such as RedHat Enterprise Linux, Microsoft Windows, HP-UX, AIX
• Good understanding of Agile, ITIL, SOX and security regulations
• Good understanding of Infrastructure technologies including past, current and future versions
• Proven scripting expertise
• Experience with business network demands.

• DC Routing & Switching experience, familiar with DC infrastructure (DB, SAN, etc.)
• Familiar with service provider / WAN topologies
• Nice to have: Technical certifications – Professional Level (CCNP)
• Familiar with IPv6
• Nice to have VMWare NSX basic principles
