System Safety Engineer for Electrification

Electrification Technology represents the “greenest”, most economically feasible option of personal transportation currently available on the market. It combines an internal combustion engine and an electric motor, providing high fuel economy, improved drivability and reduced emissions. The hybrid electrical vehicles are becoming more and more attractive also because the advancement of new battery technology that have higher power and energy density.

As System Safety Engineer you'll be involved in:

• Evaluation of hazards and classification (ASIL)
• HW/SW  ASIL Decomposition
• Development of Functional Safety Concepts and system safety requirements for automotive embedded systems
• Development of Technical Safety Concepts
• Moderation/Involvement of System Safety Analysis (. FMEA, FTA, FMEDA)
• Support the development of System Architecture
• Prepare safety documentation for system releases
• Solving design and functional anomalies and ensuring the functional safety of the released product
• Cooperation in interdisciplinary project teams in the field of automotive functionalities
• Following company standards, international safety standards, legal standards and development process
• A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization

Qualifications:

• University Degree (technical profile: Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering);
• Strong analytical skills and structured way of working;
• Knowledge of Safety critical systems design techniques and methods (. IS;
• Automotive technologies basics;
• Automotive Communication Standards (CAN, LIN) basics;
• Basic knowledge of electronics
• Confidence in communication to internal or external customers
• Good knowledge of C programming and embedded systems;
• Embedded development experience is an advantage;
• Experience in safety software development is an advantage;
• Fluent English
• Passion for working in an international team with many different customers
