Our Advisory team from KPMG’s Advisory Services is currently looking to recruit a Senior Accounting Consultant with French to join our team in Bucharest.

What will you do?

As a Senior Accounting Consultant, you will be an important part of our team and will actively be involved in finance related client engagements, secondments at clients in finance related roles or components of large scale engagements of moderate complexity. You will act as a team member, provide technical knowledge, coaching and training to junior team members when is the case, develop perspectives and insights for the client, interact directly with clients.

The main types of projects you will work in are finance related projects, such as:

• Secondments to our clients finance teams to temporarily assume finance related roles with focus on GL tasks (closing month, specific controls, reconciliations)
• End-to-end processes review and optimization, focused but not limited to Finance & Accounting areas (including Controlling, Reporting and Business Analysis)
• Monitoring for improvement the data quality and ensure accounting entries and adjustments are done as part of the daily accounting pocess or during the reporting period
• Design, implementation and optimization of internal controls system (internal procedures)

What are we looking for?

• Academy of Economic Studies graduate, preferably Finance/Accounting
• At least 3-5 years relevant working experience in one or more industries in connection to Financial Accounting and Reporting
• ACCA and/or CECCAR enrollment is a plus.
• IFRS reporting including inter-companies reconciliation is a plus
• Previous experience in a Big4 company or other consulting company is a plus.
• Ability to communicate accurately and efficiently in French, both verbally and in writing – it is mandatory
• Ability to communicate accurately and efficiently in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to observe deadlines and to deliver good results under pressure.
• Assessment and prioritization of multiple tasks, projects and demands.
• Flexible in working independently or in a team, as required by the tasks assigned.
• Drive for developing professionally and building long term relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Advanced level of Excel knowledge
