Technical support engineer level 2 wireless

This is a chance to join a leading provider of IP network testing systems and successful applicants will have the opportunity to further develop their networking skills in the arena of L4-7 testing including LTE and WiFi.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert level telephone and email support to Ixia customers
• Assist customers with operation and configuration of Ixia hardware and software, with an emphasis on L4-7 and wireless technologies
• Accurately log, track and maintain customer service requests

• Achieve customer satisfaction and support metric goals 
• Effectively work and communicate with worldwide support and engineering team

You have:

• BS or MS in Computer/Electrical Engineering with focus on Internet/Networking. Extensive IP networking background.
• 5+ years’ experience with L4-7 protocols
• Hands on experience on testing different layer 2-7 technologies ranging from subscriber access, to routing, load balancing and general IP forwarding in IPv4 and IPv6 networks.
• Knowledge of wireless communication standards including 5G, LTE, WCDMA andUnderstand 3GPP and IEEE Measurements).
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to coordinate with teams in offshore locations
• Self-sufficient self-starter who can work with little or no direction
• Prior Customer Support Experience

• CCNA Wireless or any other wireless certification

• Scripting (Python, RestAPI or any other language)
• Virtualization environments (VMWare)
• Linux hands-on experience
• Understanding RF/MW fundamentals
