Test Automation Engineer & DevOps

The “Network & IT Solutions (NIS)” team identifies, enhances and promotes re-usable IT infrastructure components whereas each component has high value for multiple projects in all business segments.

You will work on IT infrastructure components to provide turn key solutions (NIS Solutions) containing software and computing hardware, documentation/guidelines and training used in all projects within the whole Frequentis-Group. The effect of this is that you may have the opportunity to work with all the IT technologies that our projects use (: Linux; Windows; Ansible; Java; ELK; Docker; Maven, etc).

We are looking for a highly motivated person who wants a challenge in a newly established team and who enjoys working in a many-faceted environment.

Your tasks

• Support NIS Solutions team located in Vienna in providing software for IT infrastructure solutions.
• Implement a fully automated test environment for NIS Solutions
• Design and develop automated test routines for our NIS Solutions
• Analyse test results and suggest improvements
• Development and maintenance of an automated build chain
• Provide Java plugins (front- and backend) for our config management software
• Enhance existing software and documentation to ease re-usability
• Develop proof of concepts
• Suggest new technologies or solutions within the constraints of the project
• All tasks will be done keeping in mind that we are operating in a safety critical domain

Your profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Test automation Engineer/DevOps/System Engineer
• Software development experience in Java (front and backend)
• Experience with continuous delivery pipelines (Jenkins, automated testing, Maven)
• Experience in configuration and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet)
• Experience with SW packaging (Docker, MSI, RPM)
• Scripting experience (Python, Shell, PowerShell)
• Good communication skill in English (written and spoken)
