Tester / QA Engineer

We are looking for a Web-based Tester / QA Engineer,a self-improving and open-minded person to join our team that can easily learn new skills, works well under pressure and is easy to work with.

Ideal candidate:

• Manual testing experience.

• Knowledge of best practices in web development.

• Team player with the ability to understand problems and work with the team to come up with solutions.

• Experienced with Web / internet concepts and functionality: WWW (domains, subdomains); Internet protocols (HTTP, SSL, TCP, FTP, email);

• Comfortable working in an Agile environment.

• Strong analytical, problem solving and creative thinking skills. Meticulous attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).

• JIRA operating knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Understand project backlog, help remove roadblocks, contribute to clarifying requirements and acceptance criteria where needed.

• Communicate effectively within the team and with all stakeholders by providing high-quality visibility into the work we deliver.

• Create test schedules according to the defined software delivery timelines.

• Write manual tests based on acceptance criteria and DoD.

• Conduct Performance testing when it is the case

• Analyze and document test results, establish coverage metrics.

• Report the progress of test execution and provide timely communication on the test results to key stakeholders on a regular basis.

• Record defects into internal ticketing system and work with software developers on defects resolution and verification.
