What we’re looking for?

• Experience with IBM Power Systems under AIX and .
• Knowledge of hardware and virtualization layer (VIO server) including the connected management systems (HMC and NIM).
• Experience with Linux on Power (Suse11 and 12), GPFS, Power-HA
• Knowledge of Spectrum Protect is a plus
• Knowledge or experience in working with Python, Ansible, Rundeck and Jira is a plus

What you'll do?

• Provision and decommission LPAR's, monitoring and ticket handling;
• Plan, setup, documentation and maintenance of Power and Linux server systems;
• Participate in on-call service (7x24);
• Participate in special operations within the scope of maintenance at night or at weekend;
• Support and contact to hardware and software manufacturer;
• Use of defined company processes (Demand Management, Incident & Problem Management);
• Collaborate at analysis of requirements in projects, at the development of solution and preparation of decisions;
• Provide and evaluate of information concerning technical trends and deducing of appropriate activities;
• Develop the processes, standards and architectures for the optimization of server operating;
• Life-cycle and release management for Unix server systems and related to hardware and software components.
