VAT Specialist

What will your job be about?

• Support in strengthening and monitoring the review processes for Yazaki’s European monthly and quarterly VAT returns and related compliance, including the correction of errors
• Support of risk-based review of the data integrity behind the system-generated SAP reports
• Collaboration in management of VAT audits across Europe
• Assistance in review of foreign input VAT and recovery thereof
• Providing advice to entities throughout the Yazaki Europe region (Eastern Europe plus Morocco, Tunisia) on VAT, intrastate, EC Sales Lists and Customs Duties in response to queries received including tax authority audits and enquiries
• Considering on a proactive basis the optimal indirect tax structure for the Yazaki European group’s business units, including registrations and de-registrations.
• Collaborating with the accounting function, the business units and the internal control function to strengthen and mechanize the process for the complex supply chains to generate correct VAT invoices and compliance.
• Assisting the Group VAT Manager – Europe (based in Cologne) on indirect tax technical aspects of tax planning projects, such as mergers & acquisitions or group restructuring initiatives.

What will your job be about?

•University degree in economics or law with focus on taxation or comparable education with fiscal background.

•Ideally 3 years relevant professional experience on VAT related matters obtained at a tax consultancy firm or at a corporate tax department.

•Fluent English skills are mandatory.

•Affinity with SAP and relevant IT developments (. VAT automation).
