What we’re looking for

Windows Admin to manage all infrastructure and monitoring tools to enable ideal performance and ensure that components of the disaster recovery infrastructure and technical plans are maintained.  

What you’ll be doing

* Being part of and manage all systems, servers, storage, and network infrastructure;

* Manage all infrastructure and monitoring tools to enable ideal performance and ensure that components of the disaster recovery infrastructure and technical plans are maintained;

* Provide expert knowledge and direction in IT infrastructure operations and controls, ensuring the reliability of the servers and data storage;

* Ensuring the security of servers and data, maintaining software licenses and server inventory and that security patches/patch levels are implemented in a timely manner;

* Monitoring systems and responding to operational incidents;

* Build, provision, and configure physical and virtual server systems and hosts;

* Maintain the integrity of server systems with version upgrades and patch maintenance;

* Monitor network and server systems for error, capacity or performance characteristics;

* Perform troubleshooting and investigate server and network infrastructure performance issues;

* Analyze compute and storage reports, capacity and metrics across compute and storage ecosystems and escalate or inquire as appropriate;

* Coordinate with various third-party/external service providers on the compute and storage platforms they support;

* Participate in solution design/delivery process in design and delivery of cloud and on-prem solutions to support business applications;

What you need to know/have

* 5+ years hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server, up to 2019

* 5+ years hands-on experience with virtualization Microsoft HyperV.

* Experience operating Active Directory and related services GPO, DNS, DHCP, Clustering and DFS.

* Knowledge of infrastructure management platforms like WSUS, SCCM, SCOM.

* Significant experience with Windows PowerShell scripting - create and maintain scripts to eliminate manual efforts and automate server administration

* Solid foundation and background in Microsoft products and technologies

* Familiarity with monitoring tools – Solarwinds experience is a plus

* Strong network knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, NAT, VPN, subnetting, and Load Balancers * Linux/UNIX administration skills is a plus.

* Able to work on-call and during off-hours

* Knowledge of system security (. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
